Matt Turner, the lead writer of Assassin’s Creed III, speaking on how the game will address American slavery seriously. Keep in mind, he is talking about a science-fiction video game series in which a man relives the memories of his ancestors encoded in his DNA and of which previous iterations have involved straight-up murdering Richard the Lionheart and fighting Pope Alexander VI in hand-to-hand combat in the Sistine Chapel.

Favorite scene in the whole movie.

There is a grand total of three places near me that (a) stay open after midnight and (b) offer some approximation of real food. The best of these places is called Falafel Corner, and I can’t even count how many times I’ve gone there with friends and bought shwarma and then just silently sat around a table eating it.
